Types of IELTS Test?

How can I Apply for the IELTS Exam? 

Individuals, who are willing to apply for the IELTS can either register via online or offline mode. The IELTS registration can be completed within a few easy steps.

There are more than 80 IELTS test centres located across India, and the applicant can choose a test centre that is easily accessible to them. 

Online IELTS Registration

Most students prefer to register online rather than offline. Applicants must follow the below-given steps to register online: 

  • Candidates can register through IDP India or British Council for the IELTS exam.  
  • You will have to book a date and a venue on the website.
  • You need to select the type, date, and country you hail from.
  • After choosing the date you wish to appear in the exam, you need to fill out basic details such as educational qualification, personal details, identification number and proof, and current occupation.
  • Pay the application fee via credit card or other modes of online payment. 

Offline IELTS Registration

  • Visit the official IELTS website and download the application form.
  • Take a print out of the application form and fill out the details correctly.

  • Send the form along with the fees to the nearest test centre

IELTS Exam Fee for Offline and Online Mode

You can pay the IELTS exam fee via either online or offline mode. The fee varies from one country to the other. If you wish to register in India, the registration fee is INR 14,000. The process is discussed below for both online and offline mode.

  • Online mode: Candidates applying via online mode can make the payment either via credit or debit card. 
  • Offline mode: You can make a payment via cash or by demand draft. If you want to pay via cash, you need to visit the ICICI bank branch and use the payment slip from the bank. Candidates wishing to pay via demand draft need to make a demand draft either in the name of ‘British Council’ which is payable at New Delhi or you can make a demand draft in the name of ‘IDP Education Indian Private Limited’.

  • Copy of identity proof.
  • Copy of a valid passport.
  • Occupation details.
  • Proof of disability ( if any).
