IELTS Cue Card

The speaking test is conducted on a separate day from the rest of the section. It is a face-to-face interview between the candidate and an examiner. It contains three sections:

# Section 1: Introduction and Interview: In this part, candidates have to introduce themselves in front of the examiner. And also answer basic questions on their daily life.

# Section 2: Cue Card: In Cue Card candidates have to speak on a random topic given in a cue card.

# Section 3: Discussion: Candidates will have a discussion on a similar topic given on the cue card.

The cue card section includes a test card with a particular topic. The candidates will be given one minute to speak about this topic. What is the Name of the Plant?

Datura stramonium is one of the most poisonous plants found in India; it is found easily in every part of India. It is also known as Devil’s Snare and Devil’s trumpet owing to its deadly poison.

Where is it Found?

Datura is a native plant to Mexico but it is commonly found in every part of India as wasteland weeds. This deadly plant is still used in India for medicinal purposes. According to Ayurveda, the Indian medicinal science of India, this plant falls under Upavisha Varga.
