Exam Duration

Any student will recognise the importance of competent speaking and writing in order to participate and succeed in any academic endeavour. This is why the PTE places such a high value on these two abilities. This is reflected in the fact that the speaking and writing portion is the largest of the three in terms of exam score, items, and duration.

Section-Wise Duration

Approximately 72 to 93 minutes for speaking and writing

Listening time ranges from 44 to 61 minutes.

Reading time is between 31 and 41 minutes.

The PTE exam lasts 180 minutes or 3 hours in total. Test takers must respond to 71 to 83 test items in three different skill categories.

Exam Results and Scores

The results of the PTE are available within 48 hours of taking the test. You’ll receive a PTE Score Card, which comprises a variety of scores that provide you with a complete picture of your language abilities.

The Global Scale of English (GSE) divides standard reference levels for language competency into six groups based on the difficulty of completing a language activity, as well as different combinations of language tasks.

PTE Exam Preparation

Take a practice test to get a sense of your strengths and weaknesses. The results of any reputable PTE practise exams can help you figure out where you stand in terms of language readiness. Some of them are extremely similar to the PTE Academic exam.

Your preparation time will be determined by your mock test score; if it is above 70, 2 weeks of hard practice is the minimum needed. It entails working for 10 hours per day for two weeks. Any score lower than that may necessitate more preparation time.

Study Material and Official Website

The use of appropriate study materials is the next critical step. To be honest, you can find a truckload of study materials on the internet. And it’s difficult to make sense of it all.

Too many exam takers waste a lot of time looking for the correct study resources during their preparation. As a result, choosing the right exam books and study materials is crucial for successful preparation.

The official website of the Academic offers practises tests as part of various exam preparation packages. Once you’ve finished your studies, take these tests. It will be more practical and useful in this manner.

Conclusion

If you’ve stayed this long, you’re serious about your exam. However, this piece is only the tip of the iceberg; in fact, it is a very small point. If you want a modest score, there are thousands of other things you need to know, study, re-learn, and do in the shortest amount of time.

As a result, you must not be daunted by PTE’s vastness. This is something that any successful test taker will tell you. At one point in history, even Everest was unconquerable, and reaching the Moon was impossible.

We’ll be there with you every step of the way. Pull your socks up over your feet and take one step at a time. Taking a PTE practise test and learning more about the syllabus could be your first step.
