Around 5 million people take the IELTS Exam every year, either to pursue further education or to work in countries such as the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. If you are unhappy with your IELTS score, you can request an EOR reassessment. The success rate of revaluation is low, and it is a costly and lengthy process. However, let’s learn about the EOR process and how to check IELTS EOR results.

What is IELTS?

The IELTS assesses a person’s ability to communicate in English in order to study or work in a country where English is the primary language. This test recognises levels of competence on a 9 band scale, from non-client to expert. As a result, prior to applying for the exam, proper preparation is critical.

This test was developed by some of the world’s leading language evaluation experts and will assess the complete spectrum of English abilities necessary for success in your new job or study programme abroad. You’ll also be tested on the following aspects: reading, writing, speaking and listening.

Types of IELTS

Academic and General training are the two options available for this test. The academic is required of up-and-comers who wish to study or get a job in a specialist field. Academics assess competitors to see if they are capable of planning or visualising.

Applicants who only require English communication for endurance can take the general exam at the same time. After selecting the test, a candidate can enrol and fill out the necessary information in the framework. After that, students can proceed to pay the assessment cost and finish the registration procedure.

More information on the two types of IELTS exams used to assess English language competence is provided below.

Academic

Students who want to study in an English-speaking community or at a university of postsecondary learning should take the Academic test. The results of the Academic test can also be utilised for professional registration. This exam determines if the learner is ready to begin English studies and includes terminology that is commonly used in academic settings.

General Training

Candidates pursuing to study at a level below a bachelor’s degree, such as at an English-speaking school or university, must take the General Training test. It can also be used for job shadowing or other types of job training. The General Training exam focuses on standard English language abilities that you’ll need in social and professional settings.

What is EOR in IELTS?

EOR stands for Enquire on Results. Through this process, you can re-check your results and ask for a reattempt of the test if you are not happy with the IELTS marks that you got.

How to Apply for EOR IELTS?

It is unusual for the IELTS exam checking to be messed up. On the other hand, if you didn’t obtain the score you hoped, you can request that your exam be rechecked. Rechecking your results is also known as an Enquiry on Results (EOR). Applicants can choose which test sections they want re-stamped and submit an application for re-denoting no longer than a month after the examination date.

Part 1

From the moment the appraisal group receives all of the documents, the EOR administration usually takes about 21 days. EOR administration times are dependent on a variety of factors, including the number of sequences that must be remarked. As a result, processing your query on outcomes to demand generally takes 4 to 6 weeks from start to end.

On the odd event that the EOR result is still expected, it usually sends candidates a week by week update after 28 days. Fill out the ‘Application Format for Enquiry on IELTS Results’ and send it together with the fee to the Gurgaon Office to register for the inquiry on results option.

Part 2

Just a single word or perhaps a single letter is used in the reading and listening parts. When graders initially correct your answers, there is often little doubt as to whether or not they are correct. Weak writing on the paper-based examination, regardless of whether you lost concentration on detail, is unlikely to cause another grader to modify your result.

Thus, discussing a rescore will also have a negative influence once in a while if the results that you are unhappy with were either for hearing or reading.

Part 3

It becomes increasingly difficult to examine your writing and speaking results. It’s certain that different graders may disagree on whether or not your score is right. Because all graders go through extensive training, it’s rare for them to differ by more than a point. A candidate may argue that the score should be raised from 6.5 to 7, although it should occasionally be raised to 7.5.

Do you want to know the EOR fee for IELTS? Well, the amount of Rs. 11,025 revaluation charge for the enquiry on results management will be repaid if the scores change as a consequence of the re-stamping.
