Analysis Of The Question

What first strikes you when you read this question?  The question is asking you to simply describe a neighbor who you find interesting. You need to think about someone who stays close by or someone who you regularly communicate with. What are the attributes that make him/ her interesting? Jot those down in the sheet that you will be provided with. Answer the 5 Ws (Who, Why, When, Where & What) and the 1 H (How). These pointers will assist you in developing your 2-minute speech.

Attempt

All of us come into contact with people who have traits that make them endearing and interesting. Today, I would like to speak about an interesting neighbor of mine who has impacted me deeply. This person happens to be someone named Mrs. Diaz and she lives in the flat opposite us. Mrs. Diaz is a fashion designer by profession and remains immersed in her work by and large. I have known her for the past ten years although she has stayed in the same building for a longer period of time.

The first time I had the chance to meet her was when I was getting ready for a Costume party and couldn’t find my accessories. I was running about from one shop to another wearing a costume so that I could find something which I could pair up with my outfit. Mrs. Diaz noticed me fretting and enquired what the reason behind my annoyance was. I told her that I needed the right headgear since I had dressed up as a witch.

Within minutes, she was able to produce a hat for me. I was amazed at how she managed to string together a hat using some cloth, black cardboard paper, and some glitter. I was extremely grateful to her for reaching out during a time when I was distressed. Post that incident, Mrs. Diaz and I started interacting all the more.

We share a common love for apparel and discuss every nitty-gritty related to it. Mrs. Diaz has studied fashion in Milan, Italy, and has extensive knowledge of clothes in general. She knows exactly which fabric to use for which occasion and always manages to put together an outfit that stands out. Not only is she a skilled seamstress but also a dedicated mentor. Every time I run to her with a sartorial query, she takes care of it. She is the most interesting neighbor I have ever met as she is always brimming with new ideas that are effective. She inspires me to become a better person every day and her zeal for her work is truly applause-worthy.
