How can I Book IDP in IELTS?

There are two ways to book an IELTS test, either book it online or visit your nearest IDP branch and book it there. Here are the steps.

#Login to the IELTS IDP website.

#Choose the option of ‘Register for the test’

#Choose your choice test – computer-delivered IELTS/ paper-based (IELTS, IELTS Life Skills or IELTS for UKVI)

#Choose your examination type/category which is either general or academic IELTS for IELTS, A1 and B1 for Life Skills, IELTS for UKVI(be very thorough while selecting the module you want to choose).

What after You are done with Slot Booking?

After you have booked the slot for the speaking test, you have to book a slot online based on your preferred time and date. If there are any issues or you forgot to choose the slot for the speaking test, then it will automatically select a slot and the details will be sent to you.

IDP IELTS Results 

Want to know how the results are calculated, then here is to clear your doubt. The overall band score is the mean of all the tasks and is then rounded off to the nearest number or band score. All the task scores are calculated equally.

Examples:

#Reading 6 + Writing 5.5+ Speaking 7.5 + Listening 6 = 25

Divide 25 by 4 = 6.25

This ends with .25 so the nearest round up to the next half number

Then, Overall band score = 6.5

#Reading 7 + Writing 8 + Speaking 9 + Listening 7= 31

Divide 31 by 4 = 7.75

This Ends in .75 so the nearest round up to the next half number

Then, the Overall band score = 8.0

IELTS IDP Band Scale 

Band score 9	Expert user	The test taker has a completely active grip of the terminology. Their usage of English is applicable, valid and polished, and shows detailed knowledge.
Band score 8	Very good user	The test taker has a fully operative grip of the terminology with only periodic unsystematic inaccuracies and improper use. They may misinterpret some things in different problems. They deal with complicated and factual argumentation nicely.
Band score 7	Good user	The test taker has an active grip of the vocabulary, though with periodic inaccuracies, problematic use and misconceptions in some conditions. They normally handle complicated speech nicely and comprehend illustrated thinking.
Band score 6	Competent user	The test taker has a practical grip of the terminology despite some inaccuracies, inadequate use and misinterpretations. They can operate and learn moderately complicated speech, especially in common conditions.

Below Competent User 

Band score 5	Modest user	They are likely to do most mistakes, they can misunderstand the themes often.
Band score 4	Limited user	The test taker’s main competence is fixed to common problems. They repeatedly show crises in knowledge and representation. They are not apt to use complicated language.
Band score 3	Extremely limited user	The test taker transmits and comprehends only social purpose in very common problems. There are periodic mistakes in the information.
Band score 2	Intermittent user	The test taker has a tremendous problem understanding verbal and written English language.
Band score 1	Non-user	The test taker has no capacity to utilize the terminology except a few memorable terms.
Band score 0	Did not attempt the test	The test taker did not answer the problems.
