Student Background
Pooja Shetty (imaginary name) was a student studying in her final year of graduation who wanted to pursue her dream of higher education studies outside India. She wanted to score 7.5 Band overall in IELTS in order to take admission in the university abroad. It was the first time she was giving her IELTS exam and she needed her target score at any cost.
Course Objective
Considering her requirements of Band 7, Pooja Shetty enrolled for a full course of 1 month but wanted to finish it as early as possible. So, it was customized to around 3-4 weeks course. Apart from weekdays, assignments were given to her to be solved during weekend also.
Strategy – uFaber Study Plan
Pooja was provided with extra books to practice more on her skills. Firstly, the course started with listening module and then reading strategies were discussed. Writing tips were also provided to her and then mock tests began where she got complete vision of where she was lacking. She used to attend class via online Skype sessions as she did not want to waste her time for travelling.
Strategy Implementation
Pooja Shetty studied following up the training sessions. Soon, she got an understanding of what was required to score good Band in IELTS. Writing was a part where she was not getting time to practice but the training sessions helped her to gain an insight on this. Moreover, she was not getting enough time to study well due to various reasons but she managed to do it well during the weekend.
She was given all the required tips and tricks in short time for performing well in all the IELTS modules so that she could reach her target score. A number of mock tests and practice tests were given to her in order to get used to the exam pattern well.
Pooja Shetty’s Result
As expected during the training sessions itself, Pooja got her target score which she then immediately messaged on phone with a short text of “Thank You!” along with it. She found her IELTS score satisfactory and was happy with her results. Not only her overall score was impressive but the individual band scores were good enough. She got a commendable 8 Band in listening as well as reading, which was really an awesome score to have. If she had devoted more time in writing, she could have got a good score there as well. But still it is a good score overall and the one she was dreaming of in order to secure admission in a university in her dream country.
Pooja’s IELTS band score is as below:
Overall Band Score – 7.5
- Listening – 8.0
- Reading – 8.0
- Writing – 6.5
- Speaking – 7.5

Hi, yup this piece of writing is really nice and I have learned lot of things from
it on the topic of blogging. thanks.
Hello, I enjoy reading through your post. I like to write a little
comment to support you.
Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this
website. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s hard to get that “perfect balance” between usability and visual appeal.
I must say you’ve done a fantastic job with
this. In addition, the blog loads very quick for me on Internet explorer.
Excellent Blog!
Thank you so much!
