Describe Something or Someone that Made a Lot of Noise Sample 1 – Introduction

While living in India, we have oftentimes noticed this thing that there is a lot of noise in our country. In fact, it is super hard to find an extremely quiet place here or merely a quiet place.

So, today I’d like to talk about an occasion when my nephew, who is just five years old and extremely fond of burning crackers, made a lot of noise.

Who or What made the Noise?

During last Diwali, my nephew went out in the market with my dad to buy a lot of crackers. And as soon as they came back home, he ran to the terrace and could not be seen for the next 3-4 hours, but what he did all that time could be heard from miles from our house. For hours after that, we could hear nothing but the sound of crackers.

The noise was deafening and all my family members tried to stop him but were unable to do so. It is still difficult for me to even imagine how my brother tolerated that noise for hours as he was out with him on the terrace. I even tried to distract myself from the noise but it was too much and unbearable.

That noise was almost deafening. We couldn’t hear anything other than it. And that was the time when I decided to try out the amazing noise-cancellation headphones gifted to me by one of my cousins. And to my expectations, they were just outstanding. I couldn’t hear anything except the sounds in the movie.

I had to say that the other members of my family were not lucky enough to have such an experience of a lifetime. And from that moment on, my dad decided to not get crackers in the home from the next time. Those crackers made us realize the fact that they were not only harmful to the environment as they created pollution but were also dangerous for our ears.

Describe Something or Someone that Made a Lot of Noise Cue Card Topic Sample 2 – Introduction

Living in India, it becomes extremely difficult for people to find a quiet place but there are some exceptions to it as well. I consider myself super lucky to be able to live in a super quiet place.

But then there are times when even we get disturbed by the outside noises. Today, I’ll share with all of you one such instance where we had to face a similar situation.

Who or What made the Noise?

It all started just last week when our neighbours started some sort of repairing work at their home. Their renovation work just started quite early in the morning which disturbed us all.

It was a bright sunny Sunday morning and I was sleeping in my bed and it was 5:00 A.M. This is when it all started – I heard a lot of loud noises – of drilling and hammers. I panicked a little and went out to check. This is when I got to know that it was my neighbour who had some sort of water leakage at their house and they were trying to repair it as soon as possible.

They were unable to find out the problem in their house and that is why they had to rip off the floor of their house and that’s when all the noise started coming early in the morning.

It was the noise of some of the really heavy equipment that was coming from their house. The noise went on for a total of two long hours. This is when I decided to get up and go out for some time. So, I went out with my friend to a coffee shop and enjoyed my day a lot. And when I came back home, it was all gone – the noise. And I started out with my regular chores and work.
