#1. For Writing

#. Remember to capitalise all the first letters and proper nouns in the sentence.
#. Write examples only when they are asked for.
#. Practise putting punctuations in the right place.
#. Write in the third person format, and avoid using I, Me, We, You, Us, etc.
#. Practise summarising every paragraph in a sentence.
#2. For Speaking
#. When you come across new words, read them aloud to get the pronunciation right.
#. If you make a mistake while speaking, do not stop; keep speaking as it shows confidence.
#. You will have to listen to a clip before answering. So there won’t be any beep sound; you have to start speaking as soon as the clip ends.
#. Try to raise your voice at the beginning of the sentence and lower your tone at the end of the sentence.
#. To pronounce every word correctly, practise different tongue twisters every day until the day of the exam.
#. While speaking, if you cannot recollect the whole sentence, try remembering the keywords and repeat them when speaking.
#3. For PTE Reading Test
#. Focus on the keywords while reading the passage. It helps you find the correct answer in a short time.
#. There is no negative marking in PTE exams, so don’t leave any of the questions blank. Answer them all.
#. Before reading the passage, read the questions to understand what type of information you have to look for and then start reading.
#. Remember what you read in the passage because the answers can be anywhere in the passage. The questions won’t be asked in a chronological order of information appearing in the passage.
#. If you cannot answer something, eliminate those possibilities you are sure are not the correct answer.
#. The best technique to learn is paraphrasing. It helps rewrite and convey a sentence in your own words.
#4. For PTE Listening Test
#. Watch English movies, TV series, interviews, and speeches first with subtitles and then without subtitles. It will help you grasp the pronunciation and the accent.
#. Don’t keep watching your favourites on repeat; try watching new and different content every time to listen to new sets of speech/ dialogue every time. This widens your range of comprehending unfamiliar sounds.
#. Listen to English songs, dialogues and monologues more attentively. Focus on the lyrics and speeches to understand the meaning and the tone in which they are said.
#. Before any audio starts, read the question carefully and understand it, or you won’t know what to listen for to find the correct answer.
#. Questions in this test do have negative markings, so don’t make guesses. Listen carefully and answer.
