McGill University is a public research university in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. In 1821, King George IV granted the university a royal charter, and it carries the name of James McGill, a Scottish merchant. In 1885, the name was officially changed to McGill University.

University of McGill IELTS Requirement
Regular Academic exams, as well as UKVI exams, are both acceptable. A score of 6.5 or higher on the band scale is needed. The University has a minimum requirement of 6.0 or higher for individual components.
McGill no longer accepts paper TRFs (Test Report Forms) from test centres or candidates and only accepts electronically submitted scores.
