Process of tea

Analysis Of The Question

The diagram here depicts the process of making pu-erh raw tea and ripened tea. We can observe from the picture that there are three stages such as initial deactivation and drying, fermentation by mold and lastly, compression for loose ripe tea and aging by storage for pu-erh tea.

The leaves are first exposed to heat either in the form of frying or by drying them under the sun.Post this, the leaves are rolled. In the next step, the loose raw tea is fermented by mold and then compressed to obtain the final product. The pu-erh tea, on the other hand, first compresses the leaves and then gets aged by storage.

Brainstorming

How do you answer this question? We have listed the features that are apparent in this diagram.

You have to talk about one interesting feature in each of the body paragraphs. In your introduction, you must state what this diagram depicts and also write down the points that seem interesting. Remember to just state these points instead of commenting on them.

In the other two paragraphs, you need to pick each of these diagrams and talk about the processes in which these two types of tea are manufactured. The process for each follows some similarities and some differences. Talk about how both are similar and how both tend to be different.

Ideal Answer

The diagram above depicts the manufacturing process of two kinds of tea- pu-erh ripe tea and pu-erh raw tea.
The first three stages are similar for both the teas but in the final stages, the methods of production tend to differ for both.

Firstly, the tea leaves are pan fried so as to activate enzymes. The tea leaves are then rolled and spread out on a mat so that they can dry in the presence of the sun. After it has dried, the loose raw tea is ready to be converted into either raw tea or ripe tea.

However, in order to make pu-erh ripe tea, the loose tea is fermented through mold. After fermentation, the loose ripe tea is then compressed and is ready for sale. In the other process, prior to being ready for sale as vintage raw tea, the loose tea is compressed and then it is left to age by storage.
