All of us need places to go to when we need to be alone with our thoughts. In order to process something that has been burdening us, we need a place that is less populated. I would like to talk about one such place that I go to from time to time. I visit a certain bookstore that is located within the vicinity of my house.

This bookstore is pretty antique as it has remained in existence for over eighty years now. It is one place that is rarely visited since it contains archives and literature from olden times. You will only see some research scholars or university professors here and that too sparsely.

The bookstore is named Founder’s Ark and has architecture that is quite vintage. It is a Government owned building and so, it does not run on a profit-making basis. I visit this bookstore at least twice a week every time I need to be in solitude with my thoughts. I also visit this place in order to complete some of my assignments when I need to change my environment.

I feel like I get a lot done there in comparison to the amount of work that I am able to finish off at home. This place helps me truly concentrate on whatever it is that I am getting at.

It provides me with ample clarity when my mind is clouded. I feel very calm whenever I am quietly sitting down at this bookstore and just contemplating. Even if I see some faces, it does not rattle me as these faces are unknown to me.

People who usually come here remain heavily engrossed in their research or writing. It almost sort of rejuvenates me every time I step out on the street as my perspective on things alters after being in that bookstore.

The very stillness that I experience in its confines has a calming effect on me. It allows me the time that I need to take certain calls. My favourite quiet spot will always remain this bookstore as it invokes feelings in me that other crowded places do not.
