Sample Answer One

In this digital world, several people are found using the internet rather than reading books. It is due to the vast development in technology which is even taking more shapes into mobile platforms in the future, diminishing the book reading habits though not completely. Other than computers, devices such as mobiles or tablets are likely to be more prevalent.

To begin with, internet technology has greatly overpowered physical resources such as books. Students are nowadays found studying online through educational websites and attending classes using software such as Skype. For example, a student likes to search a particular term in Google such as robotics, genetics or others to find all the relevant information in no time.

On the other hand, books are merely used for references by today’s youngsters who like to spend more time using computers and studying with video tutorials or audio files in an e-learning environment rather than studying books.

Further to this, with the increasing advancement in the field of technology, there could likely be a drastic shift from learning on the computer to studying on mobile, and this would reduce the habit of reading books but not completely.

The craze of using mobile apps can be well seen as every child is carrying a smartphone to use apps for various learning needs. For instance, if anyone needs to use a dictionary, he uses dictionary apps that are available both offline and online.

On the whole, I believe that the internet would continue to be dominating over books but a noticeable thing is that there could be a slight shift in the devices used for accessing the internet to study, from computers to mobile applications.

Sample Answer Two

The use of the internet has increased considerably over the decades. With the advancement of technology and the development of infrastructure, the internet is available to the masses at affordable costs. This has made it easy for people to access information easily and at their fingertips. They can access any information easily.

While books are the best friend of the humans it has comparatively become less convenient and costly than ebooks. Now they don’t prefer carrying heavy and bulky books on their shoulders.

Some years back students were facing serious physical conditions due to heavy books they had to carry on their way to school. But now things have become easier. Ebooks and internet-based articles are easy to carry around.

Moreover, buying books is costlier in comparison to the plethora of pdf and ebooks available on the internet. There are some books that are free of cost.

Another important factor to support the internet over books is the environment. Several environmentalists argue that ebooks are more environmentally friendly than books. To make a book several trees are cut down and thus destroy forests. On the other hand, the internet and ebooks are environment-friendly and do not require eliminating trees.

Though there are also some drawbacks of the internet. Reading books on the internet can strain your eyes. Also, it consumes electricity and without it, you cannot access information. Also, some people prefer books over ebooks.

Sample Answer Three

Over the years, technology has increased significantly. Nowadays you can access any information via the internet. The Internet has become a source of knowledge. A source that is free for everyone and also is easy to access. In the past to gain any information you had to struggle and also it was not available for the masses.

Most people remain ignorant about the information. Those who want to learn something have to depend on books. Some information was not available in the books either.

But does that mean books are or will be replaced by the internet or technology? Well, no and never. Books have a separate fan base. People prefer to read books and consider them as their best friends.

Moreover, according to several studies, it has been found out that reading books helps you to understand a topic well.

Also, ebooks and PDFs are free to access but come at a huge price. And that price is your health. Reading an ebook during the day can severely damage your eyes.

Also for students books are more convenient. They can highlight points, scribe important lines and make notes. On the other hand, you cannot scribble or highlight your screen. Also for small kids books are the best option as they are not mature enough to handle delicate devices.

To conclude we can say that the internet has been a boon to us. It helps us to access any kind of information easily but it cannot replace books. A book is the best friend of the human and will remain to be like that forever.

Sample Answer Four

Will the internet or technology ever be able to replace books? Well, this is a controversial issue. But in my opinion, books are the best friend of the human and can never be replaced by any internet or technology.

With the development of technology, the internet has become easily accessible to everyone. And hence anyone can access any information via the internet easily. Also, available sources on the internet are free and easy to access.

But does that mean books can be replaced? Never. If you will ask some bibliophiles you will find how reading books gives an aesthetic feeling. Though reading anything over the internet is cost-friendly, reading a book gives some different experiences. Purchasing a book and feeling the fresh, crispy paper and the smell of the book is just amazing.

Therefore as a book reader, I cannot imagine the internet replacing books.
