To measure an individual’s English or French level, the Government uses CLB (Canadian Language Benchmarks) for English and NCLC for French. In CLB individuals are required to get to the minimum level of CLB 7 or NCLC the minimum level is 1. For the second official language, individuals should clear CLB level 5 and NCLC 5 in all the language areas. Work Experience Covers a Maximum of 15 Points

If an individual has a one-year work offer from a Canadian employer, he/she can earn marks. Before applying to become a Federal Skilled Worker in Canada, an individual must first obtain a job offer.
You have to check that you have a valid job offer:-
#1 Continuous paid, full-time work should be a minimum of 30 hours/week. Seasonal work is not permitted and the job should be at least for 1 year.
#2 An occupation that is offered should be listed as Skill Type 0 or skill level A or B of the National occupational classification.
You can get 10 marks if you fulfil one of the following situations that assures that you got a valid job offer.
Situation 1
You have a work permit in Canada and you are able to fulfil satisfy any of the following criteria:
#1 Work permit of the individuals is valid when you apply for the visa and when the visa is issued to you
#2 You are being issued the work permit on the basis of the Positive Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA)
#3 You’re hired by the organization listed on your work permit.
#4 The employer made you a legitimate job offer based on your qualification as a professional worker.
Situation 2
You are currently working in Canada in a role that is excluded from the LMIA criteria for some reasons.
Situation 3
You don’t have a work permit right now, and you don’t want to work in Canada until you get a permanent resident visa. An employer has an LMIA. Based on the LMIA and your acceptance as a professional worker, that employer has made you a legitimate job offer.
Situation 4
Check for the following conditions
#1 You are in possession of a valid work visa or are permitted to work in Canada without one.
#2 You’re actually working in Canada in a position that is excluded from the LMIA but not because of a foreign arrangement, a federal-provincial agreement, or a major advantage to Canadian interests.
#3 An LMIA is owned by an employer other than the one with whom you are actually working.
