I stayed at Jodhpur for about two days, and those couple of days were terrific. I started by visiting the Mehrangarh Castle, the Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park and the Umaid Bhawan Palace. I also saw the Jodhpur clock tower, which right in the centre of the city. Jodhpur as a city is not only known for its forts but also for temples it has. I visited the Mandore Gardens which are full of temples built in the 6th century.

It appeared as though the entire vivid culture of Rajasthan was in front of me. Jodhpur is often called the ‘Blue City’ because most houses over there are painted blue, but it is more than that. Blue acts as a vibrant background to the colourful lehngas and pagdis worn by women and men respectively. I also saw snake charmers who were dressed in black. The palaces had a quiet rustic glow to them which was truly beautiful.

I had a wonderful time there with my friends and if given a chance I would love to visit Jodhpur once again to relive the colourful experience I had.
