The facility is surrounded by a residential area and spans 51 hectares (130 acres). A tiny arboretum on-campus exhibits the Carolinian forest’s vast majority of species. Downtown Windsor is about a 10-minute drive from campus. Some academic programmes of the university have relocated to the downtown core, including Social Work, Executive and Professional Education, and Music and Fine Arts. The university’s campus features several examples of Christian architecture, in addition to its modern flagship structures, such as the $10 million Joyce Entrepreneurship Centre, due to its historical roots in multiple religious institutions.
