IELTS Writing Task 1 Question:

You have recently been on a business trip and faced some problems at the airport. Write a letter to the airport manager and say:

  • Your flight details
  • What problem you faced
  • Suggest some improvements for the future

Start your letter from
Dear Sir/Mam

Sample Answer:

Dear Sir/Mam,
I am writing this letter to complain about spoiled food served in the Air Asia airlines.
I was travelling in the flight number 3125 from Mumbai to Singapore on 3rd October 2016 where I was served Indian food as per what I ordered.
However, the food was spoiled enough that I could not eat it and even vomited 2-3 times. I had ordered food including chicken and rice. The chicken was so bad in taste that when I took a bite, I started feeling like vomiting while the rice was also too bad in taste. This caused a lot of inconvenience to me since it ruined my travelling experience in Air Asia. Moreover, I had to take rest for a while and then only I could be in stable condition.
I, therefore, request you to take appropriate measures on serving quality food as ordered by the passengers since it directly relates to their health and travel experience for which they pay money.
Yours faithfully,
Sakshi Tiwari
