ATTEMPT :
All around us, we see stories that take place. It would be true to say that life is composed of stories and every individual has some story or the other to cherish.
I would like to talk about a novel that I recently read. It goes by the name of ‘ To Kill a Mockingbird’ and has been written by Harper Lee. Harper Lee has just written two books in her entire life and this happened to be one of them. She was one of the most enigmatic authors to have lived and was also a deeply insightful woman. Her writing reflects her wit and insight.
The book is a classic and has developed a cult following over the years. It is based on a lawyer named Atticus Finch and his relentless quest for justice. Even when the entire town disapproves of what he believes in, his conviction does not get lost. It is a brilliant story of courage, determination and staying true to oneself despite the many setbacks that one may encounter. It is optimistic and one of the most inspiring novels I have ever read.
I had always known about this novel through people who had read it over the years but had never gotten the time to read it. When I finally did, I was glad that I finished the book. It inspired me greatly and made me think about how I view life in general and how it is supposed to be lived.
It took me five days to complete the book and I would majorly read it before going to sleep at night. It felt very soothing to read something right before drifting off to sleep. I believe that it is one novel that everyone must read at some point or the other.
