IELTS writing task 2 is the second part of the IELTS writing test. You are presented with a point of view or argument and you need to write an essay in response. Topic 1 – Many people believe that zoos have no purpose in today’s world and should be closed. What problems do zoos bring? What are the alternatives to zoos if they are closed?
The presence of zoos in our societies, communities and towns has been scrutinized a great deal as of late, and suppositions vary about whether they are beneficial to individuals and creatures, or whether they should be shut down.
Firstly, we need to consider the cons of zoos. Numerous individuals trust it isn’t right to remove creatures from their natural habitat and put them confine them into jails and walls. They think that this is an act of cruelty and is only done to attract visitors and for pecuniary benefits. Also, numerous individuals feel that we must not meddle with nature, and if possible, animals should be permitted to remain in their natural habitat.

How we work has changed a great deal as of late. While a few people travel to their workplace every day, others have the choice to telecommute. This has all gotten possible since the introduction of the web and smartphones, which empower workers to be in constant contact with their clients and customers anywhere in the world.
There are both advantages and disadvantages of working from home. There are unequivocal advantages to individuals being permitted to work from home. The primary advantage is that it gives workers greater adaptability in their working lives. This can be especially valuable for parents of toddlers or individuals who live a long way from their workspace. Working from home is a better option as you can relax at whatever point you need. Another bit of leeway is that you have the likelihood to work for companies in different nations using the internet. Consequently, individuals can apply for job positions internationally just as locally.

Topic : It is generally believed that some people are born with certain talents, for instance for sport or music, and others are not. However, it is sometimes claimed that any child can be taught to become a good sports person or musician. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
The relative importance of natural talent and training is a frequent topic of discussion when people try to explain different levels of ability in, for example, sport, art or music. Education systems are based on the belief that all children can effectively be taught to acquire different skills, including those associated with sport, art or music. So, from our own school experience, we can find plenty of evidence to support the view that a child can acquire these skills with continued teaching and guided practice.
However, some people believe that innate talent is what differentiates a person who has been trained to play a sport or an instrument, from those who become good players. In other words, there is more to the skill than a learned technique, and this extra talent cannot be taught, no matter how good the teacher or how frequently a child practices.
I think that some people do have talents that are probably inherited via their genes. Such talents can give individuals a facility for certain skills that allow them to excel, while more hard-working students never manage to reach a comparable level. But, as with all questions of nature versus nurture, they are not mutually exclusive. Good musicians or artists and exceptional sports stars have probably succeeded because of both good training and natural talent. Without the natural talent, continuous training would be neither attractive nor productive, and without the training, the child would not learn how to exploit and develop their talent.
In conclusion, I agree that any child can be taught particular skills, but to be good in areas such as music, art or sport, then some natural talent is required.
