All universities in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia recognise IELTS scores. Applicants for visas to nations such as the United Kingdom and Canada must additionally take the IELTS exams to demonstrate their language proficiency.

This guarantees that the necessary authorities in these countries will be able to communicate with you in English without difficulty and that you have a good command of the language in terms of written and verbal understanding.

On the day of the examination, each applicant must go through the following measures as a precaution:

# Temperature checks

# Masks are required for the length of the exam. Only for the purpose of identification, a candidate will be asked to remove the mask for a brief period of time.

# Candidates must keep a 2-metre distance between themselves.

# Basic hygiene precautions, such as the use of hand sanitisers and washing hands, must be adhered to.

# Before each task, the test rooms will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised.

# Applicants must sign a health declaration stating that they are healthy and free of coronavirus signs.

# Before each exam, each element of exam gear in the exam centre will be cleaned.

# Candidates with COVID-19 symptoms are advised not to attend the test on the day of the examination and to alert authorities in advance.

Facilities for Differently-Abled Candidates

IELTS ensures that applicants with various abilities are not discriminated against and that they are evaluated objectively.

Candidates with visual, hearing, speaking, or listening disabilities would be assisted by officials at IELTS test centres. If a test taker needs assistance, they must tell the authorities at least 6 weeks before the exam.

For applicants who produce relevant medical records and information, special accommodations, such as grace time to complete the questions, are also possible. However, regardless of any disabilities or special accommodations requested, the participant’s English language competence will be evaluated objectively.

Candidates who are blind or visually challenged will be provided Braille papers to aid them in taking the exam. Addressing task cards and a lip-reading variant of the listening exam may also be requested by such candidates. Those with learning difficulties such as ADHD or dyslexia can also request specific accommodations.

Test Centre Rules and Instructions

The exam standards and regulations have to be familiar to all IELTS applicants. To prevent being disqualified, there are severe standards in place, and all candidates must follow them.

Do’s

Before the speaking test, provide proper identification evidence during registration.

Your passport and the official ID must have the same number, name, date of birth, and photo.

Bring your photo ID, passport, or national ID with you (Voter ID, Aadhaar card, Driving license).

Make sure that all of your personal electronic gadgets, as well as other personal possessions, are turned off and deposited outside the exam room. Any applicant who fails to switch off their phone or retains one of them will be disqualified.

If any circumstances interfere with your efficiency in any way on test day, notify the assessor or test supervisor immediately.

Don’ts

Do not fake or have someone mimic you.

Do not try to cheat or copy the work of another candidate.

Do not use a lexicon, spell-checker, digital recorder, Bluetooth devices, or cell phones throughout the test. If an applicant breaks this rule, they will be dismissed and ordered to leave.

Do not talk to other candidates once the exam has begun.

During exam time, avoid smoking or snacking in the exam room.

No part of the test should be attempted to be recreated in any format or medium. Candidates who are caught engaging in such activities will have their test scores invalidated.

Examination papers, speaking task cards, answer papers, and working papers should not be taken away from the examination.

Students are strongly encouraged not to bring any valuable items to the test.

Photographs of the candidates’ passports are not necessary. The exam centre staff will take each candidate’s photograph as part of the registration process.

आईईएलटीएस तैयारी युक्तियाँ

Keep these points in your mind while preparing for the IELTS exam.

Study Vocabulary

As much as possible, English students are taught to place words in their right context. This is something you can learn to do by reading a lot. Your vocabulary will improve as you are exposed to additional terms.

Pay special attention to unfamiliar terms as you read and highlight or mark them with a marker. You should try to deduce their meanings from the background information. Search up the words in a dictionary after that.

Reading and listening to demanding things, like English language news, will expose you to a large number of new terms. Practice utilising the new word once you’ve learned it.

Read, Read and Read

You’ll need a reliable English-English dictionary to figure out the meanings of new words and avoid translating back to your native tongue.

Enhance Your Writing Skills

Recording words should be a regular part of your English studies. On a file card, write the meaning and a sentence that uses the word, which you can return to later.

To activate your sound-related memory and connect the word to words you already know, repeat the word loudly. For example, the term “immense,” which means “abundant,” has a similar meaning to the phrases colossal, huge, and expansive.

Exercise Fluency and Pronunciation

There are three parts to the speaking element. A scheduled interview, a quick talk, and a spontaneous interview are among the options. You will be questioned for 4 to 5 minutes on 2 to 3 brief issues about various topics.

All it takes is consistent practise. When a learner uses a new term or pronounces it correctly, he is encouraged to practise what he has learned, imprinting it in his mind.

It also communicates to whoever offered him the new ability, whether it was a teacher, a friend, or a coworker, that he has made a conscious effort to memorise something. It motivates his mentors to work harder than ever to see that he succeeds.

Practice Your Listening Skills

Every morning, one can subscribe to the English news and attempt to write everything down and analyse it later. The following are some suggestions for improving your listening skills.
