In IELTS Speaking Part 1, the candidate and examiner will engage in a question-and-answer session about a specific topic, such as the candidate’s home country in this example. The examiner will also ask some general questions about the candidate at the outset, such as where you live, where you study, and where you work.

The ability to exchange personal facts and ideas about everyday life is the emphasis of Part 1. There is no set amount of questions that the examiner must ask, and the examiner is free to ask as many as he or she wants. It lasts approximately 4-5 minutes.

IELTS Exam Speaking Part 1

Which Part of the Nation Do You Live In?

If I had the chance to transfer to a new portion of India, it would undoubtedly be Kashmir – God’s nation! Whenever I visit, I am always taken aback by the state’s atmosphere. Kashmir appears to be nothing short of a paradise for those who like the simple joys of life.

What Makes You Feel Proud of Your Country?

Being an Indian is a dream come true for me. Standing tall with goosebumps running down my spine as the National Anthem plays before a movie makes me so proud. I admire the fact that we proudly wear the cloak of a 5000-year-old civilization and believe we are the stewards of this magnificent legacy.

Furthermore, I am glad that India is credited with introducing the globe to major mathematical concepts such as zero, decimal, trigonometry, algebra, and calculus. We could still be living in the stone age if not for these.

Do You Know Your Country’s History Well?

Yes, I am well-versed in my country’s history! The name ‘India’ comes from the Indus River and the valleys that surrounded it, which were home to the first immigrants. India is also the world’s largest democracy, the world’s seventh-largest country, and one of the world’s oldest civilizations.

Years ago, India originated the game of chess known as Chathrang, which means four members of one army. Later, it was expanded to include 11 men in one army, resulting in what we currently know as Chess.

Will, You Live in Your Country in Future?

No, I’m afraid. I intend to immigrate to Australia in the future for a better job opportunity. Every year, however, I’ll travel to India to see my folks and parents for a few days.
