Is IELTS Required to Study in Europe?

There are many universities in Europe, which ask for an आईईएलटीएस score and which does not. So while you are researching about the university and courses, make sure that you also make a note of whether the university asks for an IELTS score or not. If the university asks for an IELTS score then, verify the minimum IELTS score you need to get selection in that university. IF you are applying for undergraduate programs then your minimum IELTS score should be 5.5 or 6.0. Any Score below this is not accepted. If you are applying for post-graduation, then the minimum score that you will require is 6.5 or 7.0. Requirements for Study in Europe without IELTS?

If you are going to a university that does not ask for the IELTS test, then you need to apply for such a test. But to prove that you have basic English proficiency you will be asked for the following requirements to fulfil:

  1. You need to provide the document that proves that you got the education in the English language during the recent 5 years of study. And English was the first language at the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) or Ordinary level (O Level)
  2. You need to prove that you have good communication skills and that your prior education was completed in English. For assessing communication skills, the candidate has to go through a skype or telephonic interview. This is used as the selection criteria by the universities which do not have IELTS as a criterion.
