Here, the topic – ‘Talk about something that makes you happy’ demands that you talk about a particular aspect of your life that gives you joy. It could be anything. Write down cues on something that makes you happy and then build your speech along those cues so that the final output sounds organized and coherent.
MIND MAP
Let’s create a mind map of the topic at hand.
ATTEMPT:
Happiness is a state of mind. It can only be achieved if one is actively looking for it. One can experience happiness while digging into a decadent slice of chocolate cake while one can also experience pangs of happiness while having meaningful conversations with people who share similar wavelengths.
I would like to talk about something that makes me happy. Watering my beautiful garden early in the morning fills me with peace and happiness. It is a very simple act of watering the plants that deck up my garden but it gives me a lot of joy. It is one of the first tasks that I accomplish in the morning and it immerses me in it. I usually water the plants at around 7 am and that hour is quite peaceful. I get to hear the chirp of birds , the buzz of bees as well as the distant cries of the street vendors who go about their business of selling fruits, savories and other items from lane to lane.
Watering my plants makes me more happy than a slice of my favourite pie would. This is chiefly because I had brought home every single plant and seed on my own before sowing them in pots. I remember being very excited at the prospect of them growing into fully fledged saplings and eventually plants. I have seen these plants grow over a period of time and they fill me with hope.
The first time I had felt joyous while watering them was when I had seen a couple of flowers and seeds sprout. Nature has ways of teaching us things that we most often take for granted and plants are a great way of refreshing our take on things in general.
